Helping Children in Need Across Glenwood
Supporting the Children of the South suburbs of chicago With Clothing, Shoes, coats, and Compassion

Welcome To
Kaylee's Kloset
Kaylee's Kloset
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families in need through charitable clothing, shoes, coats, and community donation programs. With over 11
years of experience serving the community, owner Nicole takes pride in helping people and making a meaningful difference in the lives of local families. Kaylee's Kloset
provides clothing donations for children and more to those facing difficult circumstances. Our mission is to ensure children have access to the basic items they need to feel comfortable, confident, and supported. Through generosity, compassion, and strong community involvement, Kaylee's Kloset continues to connect donated resources with children and families who need them most throughout the community.
Giving Back to Our Community
Before I started my organization, for 11 years straight, every three months, I donated clothes, shoes, and coats to individuals and teachers who work in our local school district. I decided to open my organization to help even more people in our community.
Turning Full Closets Into Warm, Well-Dressed Kids
Americans sent 11.3 million tons of textiles to landfills in a single year, while children two blocks over went to school in shoes a size too small. Kaylee's Kloset exists in that gap. We collect clothing, shoes, and coats from neighbors across South Chicago and place them directly with the families raising children here.
For 11+ years we have matched donated items with real need, sorting by size and season so nothing arrives as a random, mismatched bundle. Clothing, footwear, and coats all move through our hands each week. Give what your family has outgrown, or come and take exactly what yours needs today.

RECENT PROJECTS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What condition should donated children's clothing be in?
Anything you would hand to a friend without explaining it first. Zippers should close, seams should hold, and fabric should be free of holes or heavy staining. Gently worn items are welcome, and outgrown favorites are the backbone of our shelves.
Do donated clothes really get used?
They do, and faster than most people expect with children's sizes. Kids outgrow items long before wearing them out, so donated pieces still have years of life left. Toddler and school-age clothing often leaves our shelves within days of arriving.
Should I wash clothes before donating them?
Please do. Freshly laundered items go straight onto the shelf, while unwashed bags add a step that slows everything down. Clean clothing also protects the dignity of the family receiving it, which matters to us as much as quantity.
Generosity That Stays Close to Home
Every bag left with Kaylee's Kloset stays in this community. A coat donated on one street in South Chicago warms a child a few blocks away, and school shoes outgrown by one family carry another child through the year. That short distance is the whole point. Families here support families here, and children get what they need without a wait list or a long drive across the county. Whether you have closets to clear or children to clothe, start on our contact page and we will take it from there.
